Another beautiful day arrives in the state
of Nevada. The sun is shining, and the weather is beautiful. My phone rings,
and Mike Deneka informs me that they received two inches of snow yesterday.
He is envious that my weather is great, and I am envious that in a day or
so, when the sun returns in Winnipeg, one thousand percent of the vehicles
in his city will be dirty, and ripe for endless demo's.
What one perceives as an advantage, another
often sees as a disadvantage. The difference is not necessarily the condition
or situation of things, it is the attitude in which something is viewed. The
word attitude derives its meaning from looking at things, or "point of view."
For example, I like to look at the stars through my telescope. The "attitude"
of the scope determines what I will see. The Angle or point of view. When
an airplane is traveling toward a runway to touch down, the "attitude" of
the plane determines its ability to glide safely to a smooth landing.
Earl
Nightingale puts it this way;"Attitude is defined as 'the position
of bearing as indicating action, feeling or mood.' And it is our actions,
feelings or moods that determine the actions, feelings or moods of others.
Our attitude tells the world what we expect in return......It is then our
attitude toward life that determines life's attitude toward us. Cause and
effect....You and I are responsible for out lives. You and I produce causes
all day long, every day of our lives. The environment can return to us only
a corresponding effect.....As soon as a person begins to change, his or her
surroundings will change. And it works like this: great attitude, great results;
good attitude, good results; fair, or average, attitude, fair or average results;
peer attitude, poor results. So each of us shapes his or her own life.
My attitude is simple, and driven by my environment.
It is shaped by the upbeat attitudes of the Coordinators who cheerfully attack
challenges. It is driven by the opportunity to work with a product that never
lets me down. It is driven by the distributors who come to our events, support
them and bring people with them. It is driven by watching new distributors
see their dreams coming true as they emerge as leaders. It is driven by Mike
realizing his opportunity surpasses mine when the sun returns tomorrow in
Winnipeg. There was a time in my life, (and probably in yours) when it seemed
peoples attitudes were less than motivating. Yet even then, the sun still
came out, the product still worked, and some leaders led by example. But I
have learned that it was peoples attitudes that were off balance, not the
world, the product, or the times.
Those days are gone now, they are only shadowy
memories. Today our opportunity is truly PRIME TIME. The secret to your putting
serious cash in your pockets is YOUR attitude. Keep it up. Keep smiling, and
show our product and opportunity with the excitement it truly deserves. The
world will reflect to you exactly what you want, success! Today, now, this
moment is the first moment of the rest of your success!
